Well I knew when I started this blog (OMG, 4 years ago… this month?) that I wouldn’t do it forever. When I started, I didn’t have a goal of HOW long I would do it. I would just do it “until the season” was over. After David turned one, I was shocked that I had blogged that long, not realizing that I would have something to say for so long. Through grad school, I couldn’t believe I was still doing it (probably under the guise of time I should have been studying or writing a paper! Ey!) At age three, when I got back into scrapbooking, I lamented that I did not have ONE scrapbook of pictures of David (still don’t…boo hoo!) Now, as I’m trying earnestly to read my actual Bible (How are ya’ll doing? I’m slowing making my way through Paul’s life), develop David’s afterschool curriculum, keep my life in order, spend more time with my Honey, and, and and…I’m asking myself am I blogged out? After all, all good things do come to an end.
Honestly, I don’t know. But what I do know is that after 168 single-spaced pages (Yes, seriously it’s that much), I have not regretted a day of it. I went back and read some of my post from the beginning and I was in awe of what God has done through both Mr. & Mrs. C. throughout these four years. We’ve been stretched, we’ve grown, but most of all we’ve been blessed by having the beloved “CoCo Puff” in our life.
While I can’t say what tomorrow holds, we can surely say that the word God gave us for this year: Seeking His Face, Seeking His Voice, and Seeking His Will has certainly been a very real adventure. We sense the Lord is taking into another season, individually, professionally, spiritually, and corporately. I’m actually excited about this new season because Matthew 7 says:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
I believe as we continue to SEEK God, he will continue to GIVE us direction, help us FIND the right path, and OPEN the door that will keep us in his perfect will! As far as the blog goes, hang in there and keep praying for us because after all, every good thing needs a sequel, right?!!!!! (wink).
P.S. Now before y’all start blowing up my phone and email, let me set the record straight. I know I tease a lot with my prose, but NO, we are NOT having another baby. LOL!!! Another blog? Maybe. Another baby? Nah. (I know I just lost some followers, because I KNOW that’s what everybody is waiting on. LOL!)
