- cleaning, oven
When I turned on the oven, the burnt smell made me want to turn it off! Ugh. But I had to cook dinner, so I turned on the fan to air out the smell and promised that I would clean it out later. Well, that was two oven uses ago. SMH. Now I can’t live with it anymore. Muttering to myself: “I thought this thing was self-cleaning, but I think it’s only myself that’s going to clean it!” LOL.
Sadly, I don’t know when was the last time I cleaned the oven. Even worst is the “self-clean” button taunts me because it can’t be as simple as touching a button, could it? So I go to my home binder (don’t have one of these? I’ll share about mine one day) and found the instructions. Hmmmm. Take out the racks, clean up the excess spills, and hit the “self-clean” button. Hmmm. I was skeptical: “Is it really self-cleaning?” I rolled up my sleeves put on my cute rubber gloves and did some scrubbing after I took out the racks. Then I hit the “self-clean” button. Hours later after suffering through the horrid smell, I couldn’t believe it. The oven was actually clean! I wiped it out, put the racks in, and voila a clean oven.
Divas, learn from my faux pas, just follow the instructions for your oven and let it clean itself! No elbow grease required! LOL!
